Witch Balls 4 Yule

All the ingredients, especially the herbs are just elements you can add. Just use whatever draws you in or just what you have. These are your witch balls. That means make it unique to you. Just like your magical practice. Make it how you want it! Have fun with it and it can be a cute activity for your little ones too!

Herbs:

• Allspice

• Angelica

• Bay

• Birch

• Cinnamon

• Clove

• Holly

• Lavender

• Lemon

• Marigold

• Oak

• Orange

• Parsley

• Pine

• Rue
  

Items needed:

• Clear empty ornaments

• Chosen herbs

• Tapered Candle (Blk, White or Purple)

• Any holiday decor you would like

• Twine

Instructions:

First make sure you can find the empty craft ornaments. Normally you can find them around Christmas time like always. I found mine at the Dollar General in my small town. There was only a dollar for two of them. You can do however many you want or that suit your needs. If you want you can go online and order the fancy ones. Just whatever fits your style and budget.

Then make sure you have some pieces of twine to use for hanging. Go through the list of herbs above. You can mix & match however you like. If you want to add something else feel welcome to. Like if you have a favorite herb don’t be afraid to add it into the mix as well.

Now I didn’t list any crystals above but you can add them if you want. Just look up any protection/purification crystals. Those will work nicely in this little project. You can also use sigils if you want. Write it on a small piece of paper or bay leaf. Just whatever feels right to you!

Then you want to open up the empty ornaments. Make sure that you cleanse it inside and out. Add your herbs, crystals & and sigils if you want. Place them however you like. If you don’t care it can be messy, if you want something more aesthetically pleasing then a little neater.

Once you have all of that together then close it back up. Then take the candle and light it. Allow the wax to get warm. Take the candle and seal the ball with the wax. As you do this chant a simple blessing over the ball. Now the blessing itself can be whatever you want it to be according to your practice. It can be asking a deity to bless it or the elements or whatever the case might be. It needs to be specific to your needs.

Then place the twine through the top of it and hang it within a window or open space. You can even add a bow or ribbon to the outside of it. Whatever you feel to make it yours. Place it where you need it. Remember to feel and not to overthink it.

The main thing is to have fun and a wonderful Yule! You can always make these for any time of the year but Yule seems to be the most popular. Just have fun with it and enjoy!!!
